How to Insert a Picture in PowerPoint 2010

Inserting pictures is one of the most common tasks during the presentation edit process. You can insert pictures that you have created in any other graphic software or downloaded from the Internet, or you can also insert pictures with reports and dashboards created by your ERP or CRM software.

To Insert a Picture in PowerPoint 2010 you can go to Insert menu and then click on Picture button.

Finally, choose the file in your hard disk with the picture that you want to insert, and then confirm.

The picture will be displayed in the slide. Now you can change the picture options by right clicking and choosing Format Picture, or by using the top Format menu in the PowerPoint ribbon.

You can also drag and drop pictures from the File Explorer in Windows which makes the process much easier. If you are working with templates, you can insert picture placeholders in PowerPoint 2010, with the same concept used when you switch to a picture layout named Picture with Caption.
