How Office Timeline Makes IT Slides for PowerPoint

Last updated on September 5th, 2023

In Information Technology, communicating project plans is critical. Successful projects start with a clear timeline showing the target dates for your important milestones and the tasks required to achieve them. Office Tools like Microsoft Visio and Excel are good but extremely difficult at making professional-looking timelines that your team, clients, and management expect to see. Heavy Project tools, like Microsoft Project, produce overly complex Gantt images incompatible with PowerPoint or suitable for high-level presentations. The post below shows how to quickly build and update these project timeline slides with a free PowerPoint add-in called Office Timeline.

Until now building a professional looking IT plan or project timeline in PowerPoint has been a difficult, and time-consuming task. Additionally when an IT schedule slips more effort is required to change the project slide. Templates are helpful however they are static and become difficult to update or change. Office Timeline solves these problems.
