Free Magnify in PowerPoint

If you need to magnify your slide using PowerPoint then you can use different techniques. One of these techniques is not specifically designed for PowerPoint but it’s an open source application that you can download for free and use also in your PowerPoint presentations.

The application runs on background and it’s available for Windows as Virtual Magnifying Glass.

Once installed and running in the background you can call it either from the task bar or more usefully with a keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Alt+M. The keystrokes can be changed as your convenience. Using either the mouse wheel or + and – on the numeric keypad you can adjust the magnifier on the fly AND the arrow keys adjust the size of the glass. Moving around your slide is as easy as moving the mouse and a click closes the magnifying glass.

There is also another tool that you can download for free. It’s named Magnifier and can be used as magnifier utility for your desktop. Although you probably have something like this already installed on your system among “Accessibility” tools in Windows, you will immediately notice the difference. Unlike most software magnifier utilities, this one is actually very useful. This can also be used as TV Magnifier tool in order to magnify your projected slide in the TV or screen.
