If you need to magnify your slide using PowerPoint then you can use different techniques. One of these techniques is not specifically designed for PowerPoint but it’s an open source application that you can download for free and use also in your PowerPoint presentations.

The application runs on background and it’s available for Windows as Virtual Magnifying Glass.

Once installed and running in the background you can call it either from the task bar or more usefully with a keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Alt+M. The keystrokes can be changed as your convenience. Using either the mouse wheel or + and – on the numeric keypad you can adjust the magnifier on the fly AND the arrow keys adjust the size of the glass. Moving around your slide is as easy as moving the mouse and a click closes the magnifying glass.

There is also another tool that you can download for free. It’s named Magnifier and can be used as magnifier utility for your desktop. Although you probably have something like this already installed on your system among “Accessibility” tools in Windows, you will immediately notice the difference. Unlike most software magnifier utilities, this one is actually very useful. This can also be used as TV Magnifier tool in order to magnify your projected slide in the TV or screen.

This tutorial explains how to use your mobile running Android to open PPT documents or running your PowerPoint presentations as a presenter from your phone. You can control the presentation and move forward or backward using your phone.

If you are wearing a Nexus One of Droid from Motorola supporting Android 2.1 or 2.2, then maybe you are interested in opening PowerPoint presentations in your mobile. This may be useful for students, businessmen as well as presenters.

For example, students can use their Android OS mobile to open PowerPoint .PPT files or presentations and see the content while the presenter display the presentation in the main projector. In case you are not seeing very well or need glasses for long distance, then you can use your mobile synchronized with the presenter to see the slide content. Moreover, if the slide content has small font size then it will be a benefit for you to do zoom in in your mobile to see the full content.

This is also useful in case the presenter is going too quickly and you loose something that you want to pay more attention from an earlier slide.

How to Open PowerPoint in Android OS

There are applications currently running on Android OS that allow you to open PPT presentations.

One of these applications is Documents to Go. It has a free and paid version, but with the free version you can easily open the PPT presentation viewer.

How to control your PowerPoint presentation with Android Remote Control

Another interesting idea is to use your Android mobile to control your presentation remotely. Change PowerPoint slides with a single click on the phone or any mobile device. You can use your mobile to move forward or backward. There are other interesting functionalities like:

- View slide and slide notes
- Swipe to change slides
- Mouse annotation
- Go to slide
- Keep track on time

The application name is Remote PPT and can be downloaded from Android Market.

This tutorial explains briefly what is a PPT Template and how you can access tons of free PowerPoint templates from FPPT.info

PPT is the file format originally created by Microsoft and assigned to PowerPoint Template files. This article explains briefly what PPT Template means and how teachers, business or general users can use PPT templates to create impressive PPT PowerPoint.

If you have been frustrated creating PPT presentations, you should know that FPPT info offers you a wide variety of PPT templates that you can download for free. We designed this site once we got frustrated searching for a good high quality collection of PPT files. All the collections publicity available aren’t free, and someone needed to pay some buckets to get a few good slide designs. Then we envisioned the possibility to create our own exclusive design and offer them to the entire world and the outcome of that idea was this site with Microsoft Powerpoint slide designs that you can download 100% for free for your own usage.

Usually when we started building this site we only focused on a specific topic, most related to business templates since that kind of templates were used so often for us, but lately we found that people had other needs, not only for business templates but also for lot of other subjects or topics.

That is why we started to add more and more categories to our collection of free PPT PowerPoint and aimed on that we later figure that our site started to get bigger and bigger until we were contacted by a book editor and figured that our collection of free PowerPoint templates was referenced in such book about Microsoft Office 2010 Bible. We gently granted permission to include the collection in the book in order to make possible other people who already didn’t know the site could visit us and also enjoy our collection for free.

If you are still frustrated about creating PPT PowerPoint, we’d be glad to hear from you and support you to create it. Just contact us and we will try to help. If you are looking for guidelines or presentation tips about how to build or organize a PPT PowerPoint then we’d recommend this slide.

How to use this site

It is really easy. You can start browsing the latest added PPT slides and then choose the one you like. Once the single slide PPT is opened in your browser you can see it in a bigger size, and if you really like it then you can download. Each template come with the powerpoint slide design that is exclusively designed by us and provided for free.

If not, then you can choose any other related PPT or any category at the side bar.

If you decided to download the presentation powerpoint templates then you are ready to open it and edit or customize for your own presentation.

This article explains how to insert maps into PowerPoint slides so you can easily embed geographic locations into a PPT presentation. There are different techniques that you can use to achieve this goal, for example using Photoshop or Illustrator or just Google Maps.

Using Maps is a good idea to display locations, positions and sometimes when you are doing a PowerPoint presentation you need to show your attendants where some points is located in a map. Inserting Maps to PowerPoint slides is very easy. You can use either Google Maps or Microsoft Maps that both are free services and widely adopted.

Why you should use a Map in PowerPoint?

Using maps in PowerPoint is a good idea if you:

Need to show a geographic point in a slide

Show the location of offices or stores in a slide

Show routes or transportation paths in a slide

Show demographics stats

Show correspondence between cities or towns related to your presentation

Explain where certain locations are affected by climate changes

Show a worldwide presence of your business to your audience

Etc.

Inserting a Map in a Slide

There are many different ways to insert a map into PowerPoint slide. For example, if you want to insert a map into PowerPoint slide easily, you can just look a certain location at maps.google.com and then get a screenshot with PrintScreen key. Then, paste the screenshot in your PowerPoint Slide and that’s all. However we encourage you to put the browser in Full Screen mode if you want to do it without removing the remain text in the page. That is maybe the easier way to achieve it.

There are other more advanced techniques that you can use to create professional maps in PowerPoint.

As suggested by Microsoft site, you can use Visio to embed maps from existing clipart or vectors.

Another possibility is that you create your own maps using Illustrator or Photoshop. Once you create or open a map in Photoshop or Illustrator you can save it as an image and then insert it in PowerPoint same as inserting any other image.

The Viewer version is free, so you don’t need to pay for use only PPS files. And do not trust to any site that request you to send SMS or pay any fee for the Viewer version.

To open these PPS files, just need to download the free version of Microsoft Powerpoint Viewer, from here (Microsoft website).

Then, you need to follow the installation steps and finally by doing doble-click on your pps file you can open it.

This article explains how to add sounds or music files to Powerpoint presentations that are sent by email.

Too often Emailable PowerPoint presentations with jokes or pictures… The problem comes when we want to create one adding music and effects and send it by email. It is a typical problem in these feasts, as it has become fashionable to send staff made a presentation with PowerPoint. We make the presentation, we configure the animations, we put our best photos … and finally, music. At the time we try to send the file, Powerpoint attaches the audio file requiring us to send two files separately.

How do I fix this? Very easy, despite it requires some extra work.

Working with the Music File

The first requirement for us to distribute the presentation without any problems is that the music file should be as small as possible.

Another requirement is that the music file should be in .wav format. Therefore, it will be difficult for us to include MP3 files in the presentation.

This post is far from explaining how to convert an audio file in mp3 format to wav format. However, there are many programs that perform this conversion, which I recommend Audacity, or online tools like Media Convert. To reduce the size of a .wav file we can reduce the sampling frequency which would undoubtedly reduce its quality but also its size. We can also convert the stereo file to mono, reducing to 16 bits per sample and a sampling frequency of 22KHz. Once finished, get the .wav file with an acceptable quality for our purposes and with a size suitable to be sent by email.

Once you have the music .wav file, what to do next? Before adding the file to the presentation, we must change how PowerPoint deals with inserted files. There are two possibilities:

Linked file. The .wav file should accompany the .ppt presentation

Embedded. Inserted file is stored within the presentation. This is the recommended way.

Obviously our Goal is to embed the files into one.

In order to achieve that, go to the Tools menu and click Options. On the General tab, focus on Size Limit for Linked files to indicate linking sound files that are bigger than XX Mb. If you increase the value to a size bigger than your sound file size, then it will be embedded instead of linked.

To insert the sound, go to Insert menu and then choose Movies and Sounds submenu, and then choose sound file.

On the new window, select the audio file to use as a Music, then press Ok.

Depending on PowerPoint version you are using, we need to specify when to start the music. You can specify to start automatically.
